What to know -

Born and bred in Geraldton, Western Australia Holden Sheppard, award-winning author, has gone on to achieve critical and commercial success, as well as winning multiple accolades. His debut novel, Invisible Boys, published in 2019, has been won the WA Premier's Prize, the Kathleen Mitchell Award and the Hungerford Award. The Brink, Holden's 2nd novel, is a thriller about post-high school life and murder. It won the 2024 Ena Noel Award and the 2023 Indie Book Award and was shortlisted for several major literary prizes. King of Dirt, Holden's newest novel, is a raw and emotional portrayal of gay tradies and construction workers. It has earned early acclaim and been likened to a modern-day Brokeback Mountain.
