A monthly queer maker’s space

Second Saturday of every month, 10am – 5pm at 57 Hyde Street, Adelaide.

Sustainable Style is a monthly textile-based workshop space hosted by SAMESH and ECH. The workshop offers a space for adults of all ages and abilities to come together to develop new skills, share resources, establish inter-generational connections, and create wearable art.

Sustainable Style is about experimenting with style in a sustainably responsible way using crowd-sourced, recycled materials. It’s about personal empowerment and wellbeing. And it’s about having fun in a safe and supportive space.

Fabric, sewing machines, and patterns will be freely available, but participants are also welcome to bring along projects they are working on.

Light lunch and hot drinks are also provided.

For more information contact Nikki Sullivan or Michael Thompson.

SAMESH was created in 2015 as part of a joint initiative between SHINE SA and Thorne Harbour Health (formerly the Victorian AIDS Council). This innovative approach to service delivery answers a need within South Australia for community-based support for education, training and advocacy of sexual health and HIV. SAMESH is a meshing of the best parts of two organisations to create something unique and powerful specifically positioned to assist the South Australian community.
